How to Heal by Releasing Trapped Emotional Belief Systems

I am feeling so much gratitude right now…I am freed from heavy emotions!

imagination emotional release process hypno therapyThe hubby and I had a good ol spat last night and were luckily able to clear the air just wondrously this morning (he was sent home from work to get something-definitely not a coincidence! We needed reconciliation before long awaiting nightfall) and I have felt so light all day. Although, I do hope Murphy was not affected emotionally from our discontent…I am learning more and more just how much our innocents take on our pain and feel our emotions. I have recently released some trapped belief systems that came from 7 months in the womb and a mere two months old! They came from me trying to make sense of the world while my parents were trying to make sense of their lives. I simply absorbed and weaved their feelings into my (immature) understanding.

How have I done this, you might ask? The way I have been able to recognize and release these trapped emotions and belief systems have been through what is called “The Process”. This therapy is a guided visualization, slightly similar to hypnotherapy in the sense that you are taken back to certain events in your life that have troubled you, and are guided through it and are able to heal! Yay! The technique that makes this possible is the technology of kinesiology-or, muscle testing. By tapping into the subconscious brain (the humungous majority of the brain), muscle testing is a skill that can help facilitate healing. I admit I was a little skeptical, but now that I have seen it done time after time and be entirely accurate (by a skilled facilitator), I am very much a fan. And the incredible fact of the matter is, anyone -with practice- can do it! We can tap into the rest of the iceberg-no more mere tips!
And the best part is, it is SO exhilarating and even fun! Your imagination (<the key to reality) is insanely aware-and, if you let it, can take you on a wild journey that in the end brings a whole bushel of joy. You just have to let it take you there (that’s where the facilitator comes in).
Are there circumstances in your life that you have been affected by and can seem to trudge through? Or what about your parents-have they passed down belief systems you can’t seem to shake? The Process might be the answer…the good news is it can only help. The question is, are you wiling? A willingness to be gently guided back to yester years is all it takes.
Here is more information from the wonderful place I learned this mode of release work and healing;
The Institute of Healing Arts (ihaofutah.com):

The Process is the name of the technique we use for facilitating emotional healing (we may also refer to it as Emotional Processing, or Emotional Release Work). The Process creates an opportunity for you to safely REVISIT past trauma and experiences and RELEASEnegative emotions, pain and toxic thinking. After releasing the negativity, space is opened for the heart to move to forgiveness and healing. After doing emotional release, the body can RENEW itself, positively affecting the immune system and increasing the flow of energy throughout the body. The Process is the emotional connection to healing.

The Process is a combination of many modalities, organized in a way that produces effective life-changing results.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

The Process (or processing) is a stress release technique. It is a tool that can help individuals improve all areas of life, such as:

  • Relationships/Marriage
  • Parenting
  • Self-Esteem/Self Worth
  • Career Satisfaction
  • Health
  • Financial Security

Processing is conducted in a private setting with the aid of an emotional release facilitator (also referred to simply as a facilitator). A facilitator is a person who has completed our one-year emotional release certification program. They have participated in a minimum of one hundred processes prior to certification, both processing others and being processed themself. The facilitator guides their client through every step of the process – all the client needs are a willing mind and heart.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

The Process can help us identify our negative belief patterns and the age when they were created. Beliefs are usually decided upon at an early age. Our perception is colored by the beliefs we hold in our minds. As we grow, we often continue using these belief patterns even when they are not effective.

Processing can help us make new choices about our belief systems. As we change our perceptions of the past, we alter our perception and experience of the future. We can mature emotionally, be more effective in our communication, and release toxins that affect the functions of the body. Our health can be greatly improved when we use the power of the mind, body, and spirit to bring about healing and well-being. We have greater power to get what we choose out of life.

IS THIS CONSIDERED TRADITIONAL COUNSELING OR THERAPY?

Processing is not traditional counseling or therapy. It does not include diagnosing or prescribing medication. Instead, processing is associated with psycho-neuro-immunology (PNI). This science focuses on how our thoughts and feelings affect our health.

CAN YOU USE THIS PARTICULAR TECHNIQUE EVEN IF YOU’RE IN TRADITIONAL COUNSELING OR THERAPY?

Yes, it can help support and further the work you are doing in traditional therapy.

WHAT TECHNIQUE SHOULD YOU EXPECT WHEN PARTICIPATING IN A PROCESSING SESSION?

In a Process facilitators use guided imagery, applied kinesiology (muscle response testing), NLP, chakra work, speaking out feelings, role play, emotional release work, guided visualization and meditation techniques. It is our purpose in using these techniques to bring the client to a place of inner healing and instill a strong sense of well-being and closure with the issues being addressed.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESULTS THAT PEOPLE EXPERIENCE FROM PROCESSING?

The benefit that each person receives from processing is unique. Here is what some of our clients have said about their experiences:

“The Process has been a healing experience for me. I am amazed at how everything came together during the sessions. I learned about my emotions and how to deal with them. I also learned how to forgive others. Now I look for the lessons in all my experiences. Processing has made me a better person.”

– SuZann Bonan

“This modality of healing has brought me a whole new realm of information that has positively changed my life. The process has brought me clarity and understanding as to where I was, where I am now, and where I am going, physically, spiritually, and emotionally.”

– Nathan Cottle

“I had a wonderful first process. It totally changed my life. The terrible pain in my back went away. I have felt a new lightness in my body and a new awareness of my surroundings. I feel a strength that I have never felt before. I felt a heavy weight leave my chest.”

– Elaine Whiting

“Processing has literally changed my life. For the first time in my life I feel that I’m discovering the real me. I now have wings to fly.”

– Cheryl Marriott

I’M NOT SURE I WANT TO PULL UP OLD EMOTIONS OR TRAUMAS AND RE-LIVE THEM. I’M AFRAID THIS WILL MAKE MY LIFE WORSE INSTEAD OF BETTER. IS PROCESSING REALLY A GOOD IDEA?

Processing actually helps us deal with old emotions or traumas in a safe setting where we are able to finally release them and move into healing. We don’t require you to remember or talk about every detail of an event – we primarily work with the feelings and beliefs you took away from the experience. In addition, we trust the body to know what you are ready to deal with and we only guide you where you are willing to go. It can take a number of processes where you peel away outer layers before you have shifted to a place where you feel ready to deal with heavier issues.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM PROCESSING?

All ages can benefit from processing. We offer specialized sessions for children, adolescents, and adults. The Process works best for mostly highly functioning people who have a desire to make change, and for those who have the ability to recognize negative thought patterns, and can facilitate change in their own life.

HOW LONG DOES A PROCESSING SESSION LAST?

A typical processing session for an adult lasts about an hour and a half. Children’s Processes are generally an hour or less.

WHERE CAN I DO PROCESSING?

Processing can be done face-to-face or over the phone. If an emotional release facilitator lives in your area, you can arrange to meet them at a mutually-agreeable location. Some facilitators have private offices while others must arrange a location with you. For those who live near our school, rooms are available to rent on a per-session basis at a nominal cost. If there is not a facilitator in your area, you can arrange to process over the phone with any one of our practicing facilitators. Please contact us to find out whether there is a facilitator in your area.

HOW MUCH DOES A PROCESSING SESSION COST?

The cost of a processing session varies depending on the experience of the facilitator. Clinic students cost $25; these are students who are in their last quarter of school. Certified facilitators at the intermediate level cost $50 and advanced facilitators cost $75.

HOW MANY TIMES OR HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PROCESS?

How often you process depends on what you want to achieve. When there are serious issues to work through, it is common to process once a week or once every two weeks. Some people process only a handful of times while others process for months or even years. When you see yourself being triggered more than you’d like by events in your life, that’s a sign that something from the past is trying to get your attention and a process would be beneficial.

HOW DO I MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO RECEIVE A PROCESS?

Facilitators are available by appointment to help you through a Process either in person or over the phone. Please call for an appointment (801.785.5259) or fill out our Request a Process form.
